She'd only communicated with Wanda through a series of brief text messages, the woman informing her that she'd received her name and number from a reliable source that had told her of Darlene's talents and that she had a job she'd like to propose to her. She wasn't particularly hurting for money, bouncing between crashing on Cisco's couch, forcing Elliot to share a bed with her and otherwise passing out at the arcade, it wasn't as though she needed to really pay rent to anyone. Maybe toss a few bucks in her brother's direction for pizza nights, or food to feed his dog -- he gave about as much care to having money as she did.

Darlene was doing it for the thrill that she hoped to get from whatever Wanda's idea was.

The subway had made her late, the trains weren't running on time due to some construction and she was inadvertently rerouted to another station, having to back track to end up at the cafe where they were supposed to meet. Fifteen minutes late. So much for a first impression, she supposed.

She had hardly anything to go off of to actually find the woman, a vague description of what she was wearing and where she'd be seated in relation to the cross street, but Darlene found her fairly quickly, claiming the open seat across from Wanda and unceremoniously dropping her bag on to the ground next to her feet. "Wanda?" She questioned, as though still unsure that she'd picked out the right person -- everybody supposedly had a doppelgänger somewhere in the world, maybe she'd somehow ran into the other's by completely twist of fate.
