INCENTIVE: Despite successful attacks on Steel Mountain and on the Bank of E Corp -- the latter that left Scott Knowles burning $5.9 million on the sidewalk of New York -- and fsociety seeming at the very top of their game, Darlene is the true example of how things aren't always how they seem from the outside. Her brother Elliot is still locked away in jail for the next 18 months after pleading guilty to stealing a $1200 dog, and with the responsibility of being the sole leader of the hacker group fsociety falling on her shoulders, the pressure has started to take its toll. She's becoming unraveled and a little of a mess without her brother there to help her. Their revolution is too big for her to handle all on her own. If the Eudio representatives approached her, she would take their offer and ask that both her brother gets released from jail and their takedown of the company that killed their father goes off smoothly.

FIT: Darlene is a person that's comfortable with expressing her sexuality. In the series it's something that's often seen in the context of her on-again-off-again boyfriend Cisco, and it's also heavily implied that she has frequent hookups when the two are going through break periods (something that she claims is a frequent thing for the pair -- and it's often proven true.). Darlene doesn't seem to buy into the idea of being with only one person forever, when we first meet her in the series she's just broken up with her boyfriend because he'd proposed to her -- something that she refers to as "love is forever bullshit" -- and living in a place where that's just as accepted as the opposite is would be right up Darlene's alley.

CONSENT: Darlene fully understands informed consent, but being part of a hacker collective, she doesn't always follow the rules of it. Or rather, she bends them to their breaking point so that they benefit her cause. She frequently breaks into Elliot's apartment when he isn't there (and when he doesn't remember that she's his sister), invades the privacy of numerous people -- whether by way of hacking into their personal devices and accounts, or going through their things without their permission or knowledge. -- and has recently hacked the smart house system of E Corp’s General Counsel Susan Jacobs, forcing her out of her home so that she and fsociety could use it as the new home base camp. However, she only ever did any of those things because of a much larger plan: dismantling the corporation that turned a blind eye and attempted to cover all evidence of a dangerous leak of toxic chemicals at a plant in Washington Township, which caused her father's leukemia and ultimately his death. Without that to motivate her in Eudio, she'd had no reason to break consent.
